Outback conversations shine a spotlight on rebuilding after COVID-19

The Outback Alliance is hosting a series of webinars to discuss how the Outback is weathering the COVID-19 pandemic and what specific policy responses need to be considered to enable Outback communities to rebuild.

The weekly series kicks off at 2.30pm, Tuesday 16 June and continues every Tuesday and Thursday weekly at the same time until 9 July. Topics are as follows:

Tuesday 16 June – The Outback at the time of the pandemic with Leanne Kohler
Thurs 18 June – Health with Frank Quinlan
Tues 23 June – Housing with Rod Reeve and Tammy Abbott
Thurs 25 June – Conservation during recovery with Dr Barry Traill and Jimmy Cocking
Tues 30 June – Education with Alana Moller and Michael Little
Thurs 2 July – Economic Recover with David Arnold and Frank Kilgariff
Tues 7 July – Where to for the Outback with Tyronne Garstone and Dr Mark Stafford-Smith
Thurs 9 July – Joining the Dots – Policy Responses with The Outback Alliance and key stakeholders

Each 30 minute session features presenters who work on-ground in Outback communities, followed by a short Q+A session.
